Busy week-end ahead as new season gets up some steam

THE Munster Senior Cup tops the priority list this week-end with six local clubs in action. Holders Cork Constitution travel to Coonagh on Saturday for a meeting with Shannon; Garryowen are at home to Dolphin and Young Munster host Highfield. Old Crescent travel to Midleton the same day. On Friday night, Nenagh host UL Bohemian for the second time in a week, the Tipperary side coming out on top last Saturday in the Limerick Charity Cup semi-final while Bruff host Sunday’s Well at Kilballyowen.
In junior rugby the McInerney Cup kicks off with Richmond v Bohs and St Mary’s against Thomond two mouth-watering fixtures. In the Transfield Cup on Sunday, Bruff play Shannon, Crescent play Presentation, Richmond v Abbeyfeale and Thomond face UL Bohs.
