Fans are advised to make sure of final tickets

SHOULD Munster beat Saracens on Saturday, the demand for tickets for the final in Edinburgh on Saturday, May 13 will be pretty hectic. They are selling fast at the moment so if any fans want to ensure that they can follow the reds all the way to BT Murrayfield (if they can beat Saracens), they have only until midnight this Friday night to do so. After that, no tickets will be on sale until after the semi-finals are decided. Will it be Munster v Leinster or Leinster v Saracens or Clermont v Munster or Saracens? All will be revealed some time on Sunday afternoon.
The EPCR statement reads:
With such high demand for the BT Murrayfield showpiece on Saturday, 13 May, EPCR has decided to close ticket sales for the match during the coming semi-finals weekend in order to ensure that supporters of the Champions Cup finalists will have an equal opportunity to purchase tickets once the identity of both clubs is known.
Ticket sales will therefore be closed from 23.00 UK and Irish time tomorrow (Friday, 21 April) and the precise timing of the re-opening of the sales platform will be announced as soon as possible on epcrugby.com and via the official tournament social media channels.
The two finalists who are set to compete for the continent’s premier club trophy will be known on Sunday following this weekend’s hugely-anticipated semi-finals. Sell-out crowds are expected at both fixtures as Munster Rugby take on holders Saracens at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Saturday, with ASM Clermont Auvergne up against Leinster Rugby at the Matmut Stadium de Gerland in Lyon the following day.
The increasing popularity of the Champions Cup has been reflected in attendances this season with the aggregate gate for the four quarter-final matches up by 62% compared with 2015/16. Overall attendances are set to pass the 1 million mark for the season which will take the all-time total for the tournament to over 18 million.
