Garryowen v UL Bohemian in Munster Senior Cup final

GARRYOWEN and UL Bohemian qualified for the final of this year’s Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup with wins over Cork Constitution and Bruff respectively.
In Dooradoyle this afternoon Garryowen got the better of the Cork visitors despite a spirited late rally. Neil Cronin was once again the hero for the light blues kicking two conversions, three penalties and crossing for a try. James McInerney scored the other try for the homes side.
Con’s scores came from a late try by Robert Jermyn with out-half Tomas Quinlan kicking three penalties.
UL Bohs had a 8-22 win in Bruff. They led 3-10 after 30 minutes thanks to a try from Mark Bromell and a conversion and penalty by Mike Mullally. Bruff had scored an early penalty. James Ryan added a second try for Bohs before the break but Bruff kept in touch with a try before the red robins sealed it thanks to a Shane Scannell try, converted by Mullally, that gave them a comfortable victory.
