Limerick Charity Cup kick-starts new season on Friday

DESPITE speculation that the annual Limerick Charity Cup would receive a change in format this season, it is the ‘same old’ this week-end with the quarter finals kicking off the local 2017/18 campaign at four different venues.
On Friday night, Thomond will host UL Bohemian in Liam Fitzgerald Park at 7.00 while in Nenagh, the local Ormond will host Shannon, kick-off 7.30.
The following day, Young Munster play Garryowen in Tom Clifford Park and Old Crescent will entertain Bruff in Rosbrien. Both Saturday games kick-off at 2.30.
In the semi-finals, the winners of the Friday night pairings and the winners of the Saturday afternoon games will face each other on Saturday, September 2 for a place in the final.
