PLAYED in very wet conditions in Coonagh this Thursday night, Shannon and Garryowen fought out an exciting Webb Cup semi-final with the 3-3 draw giving the light blues home advantage in the replay next week.
Even extra time could not separate these two sides but Shannon will look back on this one as a game that they should have won.
Garryowen took the lead from a penalty in the first half but Shannon stepped up a gear to level the tie from a Paddy O'Sullivan penalty to bring the game into extra time.
Despite a lot of Shannon pressure, Garryowen held out for another bite of the cherry in Dooradoyle in the replay.
