AFTER a superb start to their division two campaign, Bruff's drive for division one next season is experiencing a slowdown.
Recent results have seen them drop to fifth position in the table and they will be targetting bonus points in their last three games to get back into contention. This was a close, keenly fought game in Donnybrook on Saturday with the packs taking the bulk of the responsibility.
A penalty from out-half Dave Maw provided Bruff's only score while Bective's scores came from a try by M Summerell and a penalty by C Connolly.
Bruff are now on 34 points, five adrift of Old Crescent and Ballinahinch and 12 behind leaders Lansdowne.
