Big week-end ahead for local rugby clubs

THE nights are lengthening, we are into February and we have two local finals this Friday and Saturday as well as a full fixture list of important Ulster Bank AIL games.

The Shannon/St. Mary's U-19 Pan Munster League fixture against Kanturk has been switched from Coonagh to Corbally on Sunday next, 5th Feb. with an 11.00am kick-off.

On Friday night Garryowen play Thomond in the Gleeson League final at the LIT, kick-off 7.30, et while on Saturday, Presentation and Newcastle West meet in the final of the Junior Challenge Cup, 2.30, et.

In the Webb Cup, Scariff play Richmond.

On Sunday, Richmond are at home to Garryowen in the Transfield Cup (1.00) while in the Munster Junior Cup, Kanturk entertain St Mary's at the County Cork venue, kick-off 1.00.

There is a massive game at Tom Clifford Park on Saturday when Cork Constitution play Young Munster in division one A of the Ulster Bank AIL; Shannon are away to Lansdowne while Garryowen visit high-flying St Mary's. In division one B, Bruff travel to Ballymena and UL Bohs are at home to UCC.

In division two A, Thomond are away to Midleton and Old Crescent will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they entertain Instonians.
