Richmond, St Mary’s involved in important games this week-end

IT’S back to Munster Junior League 2 action for St Mary’s this Sunday when they travel to play Ballincollig in Tanner Park, a fixture that was cancelled earlier in the season. The Saints went down to Castleisland 14-6 in their last game so they will want to win this one to maintain their challenge. Only two points separate the top six teams in this division, the Grove Island side joint second with Clonakilty and a point adrift of leaders Thurles and Crosshaven.
In the Munster Junior Clubs Challenge Cup on Sunday, Richmond entertain Clonmel in Richmond Park, a game that should attract a good attendance to the Canal Bank venue. These two sides share the two top places in MJL1 at
present, the city club two points behind their rivals, and they meet again on November 26, this one a league fixture at the Tipperary venue.
In the Munster Seconds League on Sunday UL Bohemian play Young Munster in Annacotty on Sunday while there are also a number of Gleeson League fixtures down for decision on Saturday. Newcastle West/Abbeyfeale take on Shannon, Garryowen are at home to Ennis, Presentation entertain St Mary’s in Rathuard, Richmond are at home to Newport and UL Bohs take on Old Crescent.
All games kick-off at 2pm.
