Richmond will travel to Bruff tonight for Transfield Cup game

TWO games in the Transfield Cup took place last Saturday and this Monday night, Richmond travel to Kilballyowen to take on home side Bruff.
Young Munster 20, Newcastle West 27: The ‘West’ advanced to the quarter final of the competition thanks to a good win over Young Munster. Sean Herlihy has obviously lost none of his kicking accuracy during the off-season and his contribution of 12 points from the kicking tee proved crucial for the county side.
Newcastle West’s other scores came from tries by Sean Nugent, Ian Corbett and Michael Bourke.
St Senan’s 48, Old Crescent 31: This high-scoring encounter saw the Jim Slattery Park attendance treated to 12 tries, ‘Senan’s player/coach Warren Kelly leading by example with a hat-trick of touchdowns.
St Mary’s have yet to play a competitive game this season. They meet Newcastle West in the next fixture with the winners matched against the winners of tonight’s Bruff v Richmond game. The other semi-final will be between St Senan’s and Abbeyfeale, who got the better of Shannon in an earlier round.
