AHEAD of the Guinness PRO12 Semi-Finals two coin tosses were held in Dublin yesterday in order to assign various rights to the teams who will reach the Final at Aviva Stadium on May 27.
If they reach the final, Munster will have the use of the home dressingroom in the Aviva Stadium but will forfeit wearing their red jerseys if they are to meet the Scarlets.
Munster Rugby earned the right to call both coin tosses as they were team who finished top of the Guinness PRO12 Championship table after 22 Rounds. The first toss was for use of home changing room at Aviva Stadium and the second toss was for the choice of playing kit.
The coin tosses were conducted by David Jordan, Tournament Director for the Guinness PRO12, and Munster’s Rory Scannell made the calls on behalf of his team.
The results are as follows:
Home Changing Room at the Guinness PRO12 Final (won by Munster)
The winner of Munster Rugby v Ospreys Rugby will be in the Home Changing Room in Aviva Stadium
The winner of Leinster Rugby v Scarlets will be in the Away Changing Room in Aviva Stadium
Playing Strip (lost by Munster)
In the event of Munster Rugby playing Scarlets in the Guinness PRO12 Final, Scarlets will get to wear their red playing strip and Munster Rugby will be in their navy.
For any other Final combination, teams can wear their preferred playing strip.
