Saracens rest their European players for Sunday

(Schalk Burger is back in action with Saracens)
SARACENS will be resting a lot of their expected starters the following week-end when they take on Northampton Saints tomorrow in the Mk Stadium. Mark McCall has made nine changes to the team that beat Harlequins last week-end in Wembley Stadium resting skipper Brad Barritt, halfback Richard Wigglesworth, England men Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje and Mako Vunipola while regulars Mike Rhodes, Chris Ashton and Billy Vunipola are all named on the bench.
Rassie Erasmus and his Munster coaching staff and players will no doubt be casting their eye over next Saturday’s opponents in this game which is being screened on Sunday next on BT Sport with a 3.00 kick-off.
The changes on the Saracens side will see lock forward George Kruis return after injury, England U20s lock-forward Nick Isiekwe return and Duncan Taylor make his 100th Saracens appearance. Titi Lamositele comes in for Mako Vunipola at loosehead prop and Vincent Koch continues at tighthead prop. Noticably, South African Schalk Burger starts at seven with Michael Rhodes and Billy Vunipola named as replacements. Richard Wigglewsorth, Chris Ashton and Owen Farrell are rested but Alex Goode, Nathan Earle and Sean Maitland will start against the Saints.
