Schmidt changes the play pattern for meeting with England

BY 5pm this Saturday we should have a better idea of where the current Ireland team stands as they face into Rugby World Cup 2019. They will face an in-form England and a few players will be under the spotlight, particularly Jean Kleyn who plays in green for the first time in an away fixture; Josh van der Flier, who has not been fully tested since he suffered an injury towards the end of last season and Ross Byrne, who will be hoping to put in a performance that could grab him a seat on the plane to Japan next month.
Already many are tipping England for a semi-final spot at least and on their home turf they will be keen to impress.
Ireland continue to rely on the ‘tried and trusted’ with Peter O’Mahony, captain Rory Best, Rob Kearney at fifteen and Conor Murray in the nine shirt, dictating matters. For others it could be their last chance to squeeze into the 31 and van der Flier and Henderson need big performances. Including the four starters (O’Mahony, Murray, Kleyn and Stander) Munster have six named for this warm-up game. Andrew Conway and Tadhg Beirne are on the bench.
Rory Best will captain the side to play England this Saturday at Twickenham, kick-off 3pm..
The match will be broadcast by Sky Sports.
