UL Bohemian and Thomond are in play-off cliff-hangers today

By Aidan Corr
THE main focus this week-end may be on happenings in Bordeaux tomorrow, but there are important fixtures today for UL Bohemian (pictured) and Thomond.
Bohs, who finished in ninth position in AIL 1B, will be fighting to maintain their status when they host Nenagh Ormond in the G4 Pitch at the University of Limerick while in division 2C, Thomond will travel to Omagh in their play-off.
Next week-end Garryowen will take on Lansdowne on the main Aviva Stadium pitch in the semi-final of the AIL1B.
Bohs have lost to Nenagh Ormond already this season when the sides met in the early round of the Limerick Charity Cup, but on their own patch, and with so much at stake, they will be more focussed this time out. Thomond, who finished level on points in second place in division two C this season, five points behind promoted Sligo RFC, will be keen to bounce back from their heavy defeat last week-end, Sligo beating them 37-0. They are capable of a much better display than that but Omagh will be favourites to win this semi-final.
On Sunday at 1pm, Richmond will entertain Kilfeacle and District in the semi-final of the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup in Richmond Park. Old Crescent play Cork Constitution in the Munster Senior Seconds League in Cork.
