Ulster Bank launch ‘try of the month’ for this season’s AIL

THE Ulster Bank Leagues return from Friday, 15th September across all five divisions and tournament sponsors Ulster Bank is kicking off the 2017/18 season with the introduction of the #UBLTry of the Month initiative to recognise the outstanding team and individual scores from Div1A to Div2C.
Each month Clubs are invited to post the best tries from their UBL fixtures on the Club’s Twitter, Facebook or Instagram page using the hashtag #UBLTry and tag @irishrugby and @ulsterbankrugby. Any try scored in an Ulster Bank League fixture is eligible for entry.
The scorer of #UBLTry of the Month will receive a voucher for €250 and each of the monthly winners will be entered into a #UBLTry of the Season competition with the overall winner collecting an award at annual Ulster Bank League Awards.
The first fixture of the Ulster Bank League season is the Div2C clash between newly promoted Malahide as they host Bective Rangers at Estuary Road on Friday 15th September. The rest of the round 1 fixtures across all five divisions will take place on Saturday 16th.
In Div1A there is a repeat of the 2016/17 final as Cork Constitution host Clontarf at Temple Hill Road. Buccaneers face Lansdowne at Dubarry Park in their first game back in the top flight.
Old Belvedere face a tough opening fixture in Div1b against Ballynahinch as they look to return to Div1A in quick fashion. Banbridge begin their first campaign in Div1b away to UL Bohemians.
Cashel RFC is the first port of call for Galwegians who were relegated to Div2A at the end of last season while Greystones who step up from Div2B travel to Palace Gardens to take on City of Armagh.
Belfast Harlequins will be looking to bounce straight back up to Div2A and kick off their new campaign at home to Navan who won automatic promotion from Div2C last season.
