Young Munster maintain their AIL league challenge

By Aidan Corr
A GREAT result for Young Munster today in Castle Avenue, beating home side Clontarf 11-13 to move back into home semi-final territory in the Ulster Bank All Ireland League 1A. Garryowen are third from the bottom. They suffered the heartbreak of losing to Cork Constitution in Temple Hill in the eighth minute of injury time after a courageous 87 minutes that saw them hand onto a one point lead. The losing bonus point they took back to Limerick may yet prove crucial to their survival in this division.
In division 1B, Shannon had a good victory over Ballinahinch on the back pitch of Thomond Park but failed to get the winning bonus point. Buccaneers is next up for them. ULBohemian lost away to Old Wesley 31-27 but they came back with a losing bonus point.
In the lower divisions Old Crescent lost 19-9 away to Wanderers while Thomond lost at home to City of Derry 14-27 and Bruff lost in Kilballyowen 16-26 to Seapoint.
