Young Munster’s win moves them up the 1A table to seventh

A FIVE point haul at Tom Clifford Park today has seen Young Munster move up to seventh place in the AIL table following their bonus point 24-18 victory over Dublin University. Shannon, who lost 45-14 away to Clontarf, drop to second last place while Garryowen, who had a good away victory (14-24) over UCD remain in fifth place.
In division 2A, sixth placed Old Crescent had an exciting 14-17 away win over Navan while 5th in the table UL Bohemian beat Blackrock College 30-18.
In division 2C both Bruff and Thomond lost. Bruff went down 37-20 away to leaders Ballina but hold onto their third position. There was no joy for Thomond who crashed to another defeat, this time before their own supporters in Liam Fitzgerald Park. They pup up a decent show but Malahide had too much power behind the scrum and ran out 22-33 winners.
