Death of wife of Old Crescent RFC President

IT is with deep regret that we announce the death of Catherine McNamara, wife of the current Old Crescent RFC President, Ger McNamara. We extend our deepest sympathies to Ger and his family. May she rest in peace.
The North Munster U20 League Final between Old Crescent RFC and Clanwilliam RFC, scheduled to take place this evening at 7.30pm at Garryowen’s grounds in Dooradoyle, has been postponed as a mark of respect.

McNamara, Catherine (nee Quill), Melmount, O’Connell Avenue, Limerick, formerly of Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, late Bank of Ireland, 29th December, 2015, peacefully at home in the loving care of her family. Beloved wife of Gerard. Dearly loved mother of Kate, Avril and the late Emma. Daughter of the late John and sister of the late Aisling. Sadly missed by her loving mother Phil, sister Brigid (Cussen), brothers Diarmuid and John, uncles and aunts, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Rest in peace.
Reposing at her home on Thursday evening from 4pm to 7pm.
Removal to St Joseph’s Church, O’ Connell Avenue on Friday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon with Funeral afterwards to Castlemungret Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the Oncology Unit Limerick University Hospital.
