Junior and Senior competitions continue this week-end

ADHERING strictly to the Covid 19 requirements, club rugby continues this coming week-end with games in three different competitions. Friday night sees competitive rugby return to Dooradoyle when Garryowen Thirds host St Senan’s in the McInerney Cup while on the following day Kilfeacle will welcome Shannon to Morrissey Park for their Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup clash. The other Munster Senior Cup games on Saturday will see Old Crescent at home to Cashel and Sunday’s Well will play UL Bohemian in Irish Independent Park.
Saturday is seldom a good day for junior rugby competitions but down for decision are the Transfield Cup clash of Thomond and St Senan’s and a McInerney Cup fixture between Old Crescent and Thomond.
On Sunday next four local teams will be in action. Refixed from last week-end, St Mary’s will have their first piece of action when they travel to take on Ennis in the Transfield Cup while in the same competition Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale will renew rivalries and Richmond will be trying to make it two wins from two when they take on Scariff at the Canal Bank.
