AFTER a lapse of six months Limerick rugby teams will be returning to action this coming week-end. Fixtures released today show that cup action will take centre stage this coming Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday next will see the opening round of the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup with three Limerick clubs in action. Old Crescent are away to Dolphin, Bruff will visit Kilfeacle and District while UL Bohemian are the only ones with a home draw and they will entertain Nenagh Ormond on the 4G pitch at UL.
Also on Saturday the Transfield Cup gets underway with Bruff welcoming Richmond to Kilballyowen while Ennis will host St Mary’s at the County Clare venue. There is just one fixture down for Sunday next in the same competition with keen rivals Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale clashing at the NCW venue.
