Munster confidence palpable as showdown gets closer

HEAD coach Johann van Graan described to-morrow’s game against Toulouse as “a massive challenge” but in general, Munster are in a good frame of mind with recent performances boosting their confidence. “ We are playing good rugby and the weather conditions will suit us. This is a winners take all fixture and we must be at our best to come through.”
With over 36,000 tickets sold for the game, Munster are guaranteed enormous support. They responded to support in Thomond Park in the Exeter game, Damian de Allende describing it as “one of the best cup games I have experienced. We will have learned from out meeting with Toulouse last year. We have grown as a squad and we will be going into this game with excited confidence.”
Jack O’Donoghue described to-morrow’s Heineken Champions Cup tie as the biggest challenge Munster have faced in recent seasons: “They are a world class side and we expect a massive battle. They have attacking threats all over the field but we try to get better every week we play. The conditions will surely see a faster game but, as a squad, we are well prepared. So far this group of players are writing their own piece of history and hopefully we can contain our good run on Saturday.”
At the time of writing ticket sales have been rising for the game and it is expected to top the 40,000 before kick-off at 3pm.
