Osborne moves from Leinster to join Munster Rugby squad

 

IT has been like ‘musical chairs’ in the Munster camp over the past few weeks with players coming and going as well as a few retirements. Today the province and the IRFU announced that scrum-half Rowan Osborne will join the Thomond Park set-up at the start of the 2021/22 season on a one-year contract.
He makes the move from Leinster where he has made ten appearances in the Guinness PRO14.
The 24-year-old Kildare native starred with Dublin University in 2019 in the All Ireland League.
Also coming into the Munster squad are Simon Zebo  and South African Jason Jenkins

Ian Costelloe returns to coach at Academy level after spells with Nottingham and Wasps while going in the other direction are Nick McCarthy, who returns to Leinster and JJ Hanrahan,  joins Clermont Auvergne, Alex Wooton who is to remain with Connacht and retirees Billy Holland and CJ Stander.
