Scarlet’s player Price forecasts “a tough test”

“It’s going to be a big test,” says Tom Price (pictured) ahead of Munster clash
Scarlets take on Guinness PRO12 table-toppers Munster Rugby at Thomond Park this evening, Friday 24th February, in Round 16 of the 2016-17 season championship campaign.
Ten points separate the two teams, in first and fourth positions respectively, with the Scarlets looking for a performance and result on the other side of the Irish Sea to further consolidate their place in the top four.
A bonus point win over Zebre last Friday night saw Scarlets pull away from Ulster and Glasgow, fifth and sixth respectively, however Ulster have a game in hand with only six points separating them and the West Wales region.
Second row Tom Price believes that the Scarlets face a tough test at Thomons Park but that it’s one they’re relishing as a squad; “Munster have been flying this season and we know it’s going to be a big test. Having said that, it will be good to test ourselves against the best, that’s what we all want to do.
“We have to focus on ourselves and go over there and put in a big performance. There’s always an immense crowd there too.”
Price was one of five try scorers against Zebre last week as the Scarlets secured a 42-7 victory over the Italians. He went on to say; “The main objective was to get the bonus point, we did that but we weren’t happy overall with the performance. We’ve been giving everything in training and will look to eradicate errors in our game on Friday.
“As a group we want to keep putting in performances, there are still a lot of games left. We’ve got the international boys to come back, which will make us stronger. We’re taking every game as it comes each week and trying to maintain our position in the top four.”
