News from Shannon RFC

WHAT a week of cup rugby we had last week!

Our Firsts travelled to Cork Constitution and, after finding themselves behind, they showed fantastic character to rally in the second half. They produced a strong display and pushed Cork Con all the way, finishing the game with plenty to be proud of.
Our Seconds put on an impressive attacking performance, coming away with a high-scoring victory over UL Bohemians, while our U21s also secured a great win against Old Crescent.
But the match of the weekend has to go to our Thirds! After returning to the pitch following several seasons away, they found themselves behind early but showed incredible determination to fight their way back and clinch the win in a fantastic display of rugby.
We are absolutely delighted to have the Thirds back on the pitch and, even better, they are still recruiting! If you’re interested in getting involved, whether you’re returning to rugby or picking up a ball for the first time, get in touch.
And there’s no slowing down this week, with another round of fixtures ahead! Our U21s are in action tonight, followed by our Seconds on Friday. While our u18.5, u16 and u14s boys sides all take to the pitch too
Come out, support the teams and get behind the club!
