UL Bohemian and Thomond advance in the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup

THERE were wins today for Thomond and UL Bohemian in the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup. At Liam Fitzgerald Park, a highly entertaining game saw the home side edge out Waterford City 29-22. Thomond’s scorers were Cian Henchy, Gary Bateman a try each with Alan Wallace kicking five penalties and a conversion. Adam Guerin also chipped in with a conversion.
UL Bohs travelled to Midleton and came away with a ticket for the next round thanks to a 12-22 win over the home side. Their prize is a meeting with Cashel away in the next round.
Scorers for Bohs were Seosamh MacDonnacha two tries, Aaron Hennessy a try and Hugh Corkerry a penalty and two conversion.
Despite a try each from Liam Bennett and Shan Dunworth and a penalty and by Tadhg Leddin, Bruff could not avoid losing at home to Cashel 13 40. Castleisland will have home advantage against Abbeyfeale in the next round.
Old Crescent lost a thriller against Mallow 6-5.
