Young Munster and Bohs kick off new season

ANNACOTTY is the venue this afternoon as UL Bohemian entertain Young Munster in the opening game of Limerick’s rugby season for 2014/15.
This first round Limerick Charity Cup clash is sure to attract a good attendance to the venue but according to Young Munster, they will be fielding well below full-strength.
Gearoid Lyons, signed from Shannon during the off-season, is unlikely to start at out-half but there should be a debut in the black and amber shirt for former St Mary’s and Shannon scrum-half Rob Guerin.
Prop Martin Kelly, who has signed with Munster from Leinster, is injured and is ruled out of this fixture while Munster have also withdrawn all their Academy players. Unavailable too are prop Alan Cotter and hooker Gerry Slattery.
“We expect to be much stronger for our opening AIL game against Clontarf in Dublin the following week,” a Young Munster source told us.
Today’s game kicks off at Annacotty at 2.30.
