Young Munster facing battle to avoid the drop

AFTER suffering defeat at home today to Cork Constitution, Young Munster are facing an anxious run-in as the All–Ireland League heads towards its final stages.
Derek Corcoran scored their only points this Saturday as the black and ambers crashed at home to a 5-31 defeat. Young Munster now occupy second last place in the 1A table.
In division 2A UL Bohs beat Dolphin in Cork 19 to 23 while Old Crescent had a comfortable 49 to 17 victory over Blackrock, flying wing Val McDermott scoring a hat-trick of tries.
Thomond (pictured) had an important away win, 11-15, over Tullamore in 2C and Bruff kept up their challenge with a 32-17 victory over Malahide that keeps them in third position in the table.
