Newcastle West, Richmond and Abbeyfeale taste defeats
- Updated: 21/10/2024
JUST three local sides were in Munster Junior League action last week-end. Newcastle West went down away to Bandon, 26-8, Sunday’s Well beat Richmond 19-14 and in the Shield, Abbeyfeale lost at home to Waterpark by 5-14.
It appears that Newcastle West are facing a difficult season if recent results continue. Bandon led 19-5 at the break, NCW’s score coming from Cian Tierney and Andrew Mortell kicked a second half penalty for the County Limerick team who recently have been stricken with injuries.
