Cardiff unlikely to upset a Munster winning run-in
- Updated: 24/04/2025

CARDIFF Rugby and Munster have named their sides for tomorrow’s URC clash in the Cardiff Arms Park, Cardiff, kick-off 19.35. Ian Costelloe has made seven changes since the loss to the Bulls last week-end and his side will be all out to go into the game with a winning bonus point on their minds. It’s good to see Craig Casey, Calvin Nash and Mike Haley back in action which leaves Thaakir Abrahamsso to have more space to show his blistering pace on the left flank. There will be a lot of interest in the new loose head Michael Milne who makes his first start after moving from Leinster while another new name, Ronan Foxe, is named in the replacements.

Cardiff Rugby Head Coach Matt Sherratt said: “We are all really excited for Friday night. These are exactly the kind of games you want to be involved in. There’s no getting away from it, it’s one of the biggest games of the season. It’s a game with a lot riding on it, in a league that’s incredibly tight and against a brilliant team full of internationals, with massive history.
“We will need to be at our best and produce our most complete performance of the season to secure the result we need. If we can do that then we will travel to South Africa in a strong position.
“For a number of players, it will also be their last game at the Arms Park so there is a huge amount of motivation to make it a special occasion.”
