To All our Members, Players and Supporters – Past and Present
Welcome to the August 2025 Issue of “An Cartlann”, the official Archive of Shannon RFC.
Our aim is to have a monthly issue to show you the many aspects of our Club and to highlight the many activities, both on and off the field of play, which have made our Club the much loved institution it has become and now is.
We would also very much welcome your input and assistance in growing both our knowledge of our Club since its foundation in 1884 and in adding to the many artefacts and memorabilia which we have already collected and catalogued. More of that later

An Cartlann is located in Coonagh and visits can be arranged by contacting any of the above.
Training has resumed – the New Season is upon us – and we look forward with confidence, renewed hope and excitement to what awaits us.
All our Players, at all levels, their Management and Backroom Staff deserve to be fully and enthusiastically supported throughout the coming Season.
Show your support in any way you can – morally, physically and financially – but especially by being objective about all our Teams and all our Players at all times and most of all by attending our Matches, both home and away, in large numbers.
In particular, let’s back Lee, Neil and our Firsts to the hilt.
