Below par Munster make it two wins in a row

Munster 23, Cardiff 20
THEY just got over the line but Munster will be happy with a second win in this URC clash in Thomond Park tonight. It was 5-5 after a pretty boring first half with both out-halves leaving their kicking boots in the dressingrooms. The game could have gone any way as the second half and Cardiff threatened any time they got into Munster territory and for the home supporters there were a few nail-biting moments. The result could have gone in favour of the visitors had Jack Crowley not scored a drop goal in the dying minutes. Cardiff looked menacing with the clock in the red and they were rewarded to make it just a three-score game.It looked as if Munster would take the lesd after nine minutes when a brilliant kick-ahead and with Cardiff down to 14 men, Josh McNally shown yellow on 11 minutes but the Welsh weathered the storm, forced their way upfield and Josh Adams touched down but out-half Callum Sheedy once again kicked wide. Gavin Combes got over andJackie Crowley converted and Munster, to the relief of their supporters, split the posts to put his side 12-10 after 54 minutes. Cardiff were not going to stand down and they went into to a 12-10 lead when left winger Tom O’Brien dived over. It was game on and Munster recovered their lead when Diarmuid Barron raced over. The conversion looked an easy one but once again Crowley put the ball wide.

With 66 minuted played, the out-half popped over a penalty kick and going into the final ten minutes Munster led 20-15. The same player ensured a home win when he kicked a drop goal to give his side a 23-15 lead. With the last play of the game Cardiff salvaged a losing bonus point with Tom Browne scoring another try,
