Munster bounce back with an emphatic URC victory

MUNSTER were always going to run out victorious in this fixture and they ran out with a healthy surplus at the final whistle. The Reds were not going to run about and they had a 12 p0int lead with the clock reading eight minutes, tries from Calvin Nash and Tom Farrell scoring tries and a conversion from Jack Crowley and the same player popped over a penalty kick soon after. Benetton replied with a penalty kick to bring the score to 3-12. A try by Gavin Coombes, converted b the out-half saw Munster go in at the break with a 3-13 lead.
The second half was mostly in favour of the visitors with tries from Alex Kendellan, Tadhg Beirne and Brian Gleesom, with accurate kicking from the boot of Jack Crowley, sealed Munster to winning ways.
It finished Benetton 15, Munster 45. Munster’s next fixture in the URC is next Saturday when the entertain Ulster in Thomond Park, kick-off 5.30pm.
