WHAT are we supposed to make of these games , the new nations Cup is
just over (a mini RWC) and the European Club competitions warming up,
while the Southern hemisphere play off games. The Bunnings NPC is well
up and runnning
New Zealand sent out a warning to Southern teams that they have found a
way to beat SA, well it worked for one game – and more games to come
They are a bit like Celtic and Rangers playing soccer against each other
5/6 times a year – to keep the fans coming to games
There is no major cup / competition to compete for as the RWC is in
2027, It is doubtful that European audiences will be will put much heed
in it .
So it is for the money it generates for all the teams as Australia and
Argentina are also included.
To show more interest Erasmus included many his experience players who
have a couple of RWC medals to their credit already. Players like
Etzeban, Marx, Kolbe, Allende, Kolisi were all included again to win the
second game. Australia beat Argentina .
To keep the show going they play again next week.
