Four defeats and two victories for local AIL sides

TWO wins and four defeats for our local clubs in today’s AIL. In 1A Young Munster lost at home to City of Armagh 24-31 and Garryowen were also beaten, this time to Terenure in Dublin 42-26. In division 1B Shannon suffered another loss when they were defeated at home by Nenagh Ormond 15-35.
In 2A Old Crescent had a good win over Ballymena 29-24 while in division 2B Malone defeated UL Bohemians 30-21. Bruff bounced back after a bad run, getting the better of Tullamore 8-22. Scorers for Bruff were tries by Cillian Rea, Craig Carew and John Bowman while Ethan Anderson kicked a conversion.
The placings in the various divisions are as follows: Young Munster sixth, Garryowen tenth, Shannon joint eighth, Old Crescent seventh, UL Bohemians fifth and Bruff joint seventh.
The AIL leagues now take a break and will return on December 7th. Fixtures: Division 1, St Mary’s v Young Munster, Garryowen v Cork Constitution; !B, Old Belvedere v Shannon, 2A, Old Crescent v MU Barnhall, 2B, ULBohemians v Dungannon, 2C Bruff v Omagh.
