Hugo is the hero as the Lions roar to a late victory

HUGO Keenan was the hero for the British and Irish Lions today when he scored a spectacular try in the final minutes of a thrilling Test match today in Brisbane. It was a cracker of a first haf with the Lions slow to start and the home side running up a 23-5 lead after 31 minutes. Tom Lynagh kicked a brace of points as Australia ruled te early ten minutes but the Lions replied with a Dan Sheehan touchdown. Finn Russell missed the converson. The Aussies inxreased their lead with 23 minutes played, James Slipper forcing his way over to make it 13-5 and this was followed with a third try, Jake Gordon sprinting past a weak Lion’s defence as the score. another aussie try, this time from full back Tom Wright. The score at the break was 23-17 to the home side but in a nail-biting second half Andy Farrell was the one to celebrate.
The Irish players certainly paid their part with Dan Sheehan, Tadhg Beirne and the hero of the night Leinster’s Keenan all scoring crucial tries. Munster’s captain gave one of his best performances of his career. He was everywhere, briallint in defence and he created numerous breaks, especially paving the way for the crucial score.
