Munster move up a few gears for URC run-in

LIKE a JP McManus Aintree Grand National winner, Munster are moving into the straight as the race for the top eight of the BKT URC hots up. The 30-man squad, announced yesterday, bustles with talent and the Bulls and the Lions may struggle to contain them.
What a pity that the timing of a full-strength squad has arrived two weeks too late. The ‘big boys,’ RG Snyman, Oli Jager and current Irish international Calvin Nash are all declared fit to go while the return of Shane Daly and Fineen Wycherley also boosts a double victory on South African soil.
Saturday’s Round 14 game against the Bulls (4.05pm Irish time/5.05pm local time, may be close but the holders are not going to release their hold on this URC trophy with out a fight.
Here’s a shot at the most likely starting fifteen: Haley, Nash, Frisch, Nankivell, Daly; Crowley, Casey: Jager, Scannell, Archer; Beirne, Snyman; O’Mahony, Hodnett, Coombes.
