Munster record try fiest with a superb performance

Munster 31, Argentina Selection 28
There were times when this thriller rescmbled a Sevens, but those who brazened the cold were not complaining. This was Munster’s sixth consecutive win of the season and they came out gallantly. Argentina never stopped playing and with the clock in over time Santiago Pernas scored a final try to finish an epic battle.
They started this game enthusiastically, Jack O’Donoghue bringing play close to the visitor’s line, but in those early stages it was clear that this was going to be a close encounter. With the penalty count going in favour of the visitors, they looked dangerous and some good approach work after they had spoilt two close-in lineouts, they opened the scoring when full back Tobias Wade found a gap and he sent Leonardo Gea Salim in for the first try of the game. Out-half Julián Hernández was accurate with the conversion.
The 18 minute lead did not last long, Munster making use of a penalty to bring themselves into scoring territory and Evan O’Connell crashed over but Tony Butler’s conversion came back off the upright. The penalty count was rising in the home side’s favour and on the 33rd minute Tony Butler had the home fans on their feet when he burst clean through a static defence for a brilliant try. Tony Butler again missed the target with the convert. Munster were on fire and they went in with a deserved 10-7 lead.
With only three points between them the second half started with the the home side finding touch five metres from the try line. The Munster pack did the rest, Gavin Coombes touching down and Tony Butler putting his side 17-7 ahead.  Argentina replied within six minutes Leonel Oviedo credited with a touchdown and Julián Hernández convereting to bring the score to 17-14. Munster were not going to go away and from the re-start Tony Butler raced over and converted to make it 24-14 on 52 minutes. Max Clein prevented a certain try after coming on but Argentina opened the home defence again with 16 minutes remaining Santiago Pernas scorching in for a try at the Mayorstone end. The outcome of this thriller was not over yet, Sean O’Brien got into the act with another touchdown, converted by Butler and the scoreboard now read 31-21.
