Thomond are exploding back to higher levels

IT’s been a good week-end in the All-Ireland League yesterday for local clubs with five out of seven recording wins. In 1A Young Munster were pipped away to Clontarf 28-26, Garryowen continue their bid to return to a higher level when they had a 37-14 win at home to Instonians while Shannon had a welcome home win over Banbridge 37-31.
Old Crescent had to put up with bonus points when they went down at home to Greystones 32-37 and in the other games UL Bohs beat Buccaneers in Galway 10-14, Bruff had a 25-15 win over Bective and runaway Thomond chalked ulp a half century of points in Fitzgerald Park with a 54 point tally to Dolphin’s 32.
Thomond are running away in their division and are chalking up high winning points since the start of the campaign.
The results see Young Munster in seventh place in their division, Garryowen are second in their group while Old Crescent are fourth, Shannon seventh, UL Bohs third, Bruff fifth and Thomond leading their division.
