Young Munster only local side to reap league victory

IT was a bleak day for Limerick clubs in the Energia All-Ireland Leagues today with only Young Munster coming out with a victory. The Thomond v Midleton fixture was called off due to playing conditions.
In division one Yound Munster had a significan result, getting the better of home side Terenure on a 19-29 result while in 2A Garryowen slipped up at home to Dunagannon, 18-20. Shannon were beaten by Wanderers 25 to 22 in a thriller away, while Old Crescent, who were at home, were pipped 18-20. In the other games Clonmel beat Bruff 22-20 and Malone got the better of UL Bohemians by the narrowest of margins 30-29.
